You pick out a word
as a commitment to your year,
Not knowing what path
will be generated in this sphere.
You launch out in adventure
and effort each day,
To focus on this moment
as you meditate and pray.
You get stuck in motion
and energies of the past,
It takes courage to release them
and let go so it won’t last.
You truly get the answers
to all the questions you ask,
It requires you to be bold
and keep destroying every mask.
You can’t change the world
without it affecting your soul,
In spite of the incidents
and things out of your control.
You will see people leave
and it will hurt as they go,
But the power in the moment
is to accept what you don’t know.
You will grow as learn
and adapt to what has collapsed,
For it is in the destruction
we are able to rebuild from scratch.
You can change on a dime
and start over new,
With a different perspective
in a world meant for you.
You can’t let anything stop you
or keep you holding back,
You must press forward in motion
knowing God has your back.
