I long to be
forever set free,
From rules of religion
abounding around me.
I long to be
an example of love,
That’s lived from the heart
and not just talked of above.
I long to be
an extension of grace,
Showing how it is done
in spite the things in my face.
I long to be
even more connected,
To the purpose of living
even when authentically rejected.
I long to be
perfectly me,
No longer consumed
by a heart burning on fumes.
I long to be
entitled to what’s real,
Abolishing any and all
fakeness I feel.
I long to be
bold from the start,
Never afraid
to live from the heart.
